Can one woman handle two dominant men intent on staking their claim?

Warning: This story contains adult subject matter and language that is probably not suitable for anyone. (Erotic Paranormal Menage Romance, MFM)

Two's a couple, three's a ménage, not to mention the law. Welcome to an alternate world where the government gives tax breaks to women who choose to take on two or more men--and werewolves live amongst us.

Despite the laws encouraging polygamy, Chloe isn't interested in a relationship with one man, let alone two. But all that changes when a werewolf client decides he wants her for more than just legal aid. He's not alone though. Her nemesis in the courtroom, district attorney Anthony Vanderson, is also intent on seduction.

Caught between two men--naked and panting--she succumbs to passion, gets embroiled in a mystery and learns werewolves aren't the only creatures living amongst humans.

I have to start my review by saying "I'm a HUGE fan of Eve Langlais!". There hasn't been a book that I've read by her I haven't absolutely fell in love with! Two's A Couple, Three's The Law doesn't disappoint ;-)

All of the characters are amazing! I can't get enough of Pete and Anthony! Chloe and her BFF Brenda kept me laughing & with a smile on my face. I was unable to put my Kindle down. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there are more books to come, involving the fellas and Chloe. Since the ending left the room for the possibility. I would also love for Brenda to get a duo. Maybe even a trio, this is Brenda after all (LOL).

I recommend this book to fans of Eve Langlais. As well as lovers of romance, comedy, paranormal, and suspense. You will undoubtedly enjoy this book.

My Thoughts on... Murder Mi Amore by Cara Marsi

Award-winning book

Murder, jewel thieves and terrorists intrude on an American woman's Roman holiday; can she trust the sexy, mysterious Italian man who comes to her aid?

Lexie Cortese is in Rome to forget. The last thing she expects is to meet a sexy Interpol agent who suspects her of being part of a terrorist plot involving a stolen diamond. Suddenly thrust into a world of murders, muggings, and kidnappings, Lexie doesn't know what to think--or who to believe.

Dominic Brioni's assignment is simple. Befriend the American and bring her to justice. Only Lexie seems the most unlikely terrorist Dominic has ever met. Sweet, determined, and direct, she faces life with courage and fire, a fire that sparks his protective instincts and a longing for something more--something he allowed himself to hope for only once before.

But that woman betrayed him, and his boss isn't about to let him forget it. With his career on the line and Lexie in danger, will Dominic learn to trust his heart before they both get killed?

This is a great romantic suspense story, about a woman who is determined to put herself 1st for a change. Doing the things she's always dreamed of. Lexie get's more than wished for, when she meets Dominic. This sexy Italian has more to him than just his looks.

If there is anything negative to say about the book; it would be that it ended a little too soon for me. There were somethings that were left up in the air. An epilogue would have been nice, just to see where Lexie and Dominic ended up in the future. Other than that Murder Mi Amore was AWESOME!

I would recommend this book for the lovers of romance, suspense, and covert agents ;-)

My Thoughts on... Between Friends (Friends with Benefits) by Vristen Pierce

Between Friends (Friends with Benefits)

Book 1

Book Description

READY FOR TROUBLE

Stacy Washington needs a change. After being unceremoniously dumped by her long-time boyfriend, she's on her way to one of the hottest clubs in town-and ready to shed her good-girl persona. Good-bye, inhibitions; hello, sexy bartender . . .

Behind the counter, Evan is a sight to behold: dark, good looks, and a killer smile. But before Stacy has a chance to get to know him better, an equally sexy prospect comes her way, and this one is ready to play. Blond, tattooed Justin is not shy about telling Stacy exactly what he wants. Justin and Evan are best friends, but that doesn't stop them from letting Stacy know they'd like to see where the night can take them-all of them. This could be a tricky situation-or the most exhilarating experience of Stacy's life . . .

This is a 1st for me, I'm going to give a review that's on the negative side. I really didn't want to, but I feel this must be said. This book started with great potential, and was shot to hell at the end.

The story is about a woman wanting to step out of her comfort zone and live more. Stop playing it so safe. Stacy does just that when she meets Evan and Justin. By the end of the book she backtracks in a major (cowardly) way.

The pros for this story are Evan and Justin, both are great characters. As well as Stacy's BFF Nina. Another is the steamy factor of the book, which I would give an 8 out of 10 on my Steamy Scale.

I would only recommend reading this book because of the pros I mentioned, and the fact that this is a part of a series. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the 2nd installment us much better.

My Thoughts on... Veterans Day

What is a Veteran?

A "Veteran" - whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve - is someone who, at one point in his/her life, wrote a blank check to "The United States of America," for an amount of "up to and including his/her life".

My grandfather John R.Graves Jr. was in the US Army. He was a medic in WWII, Vietnam, and Korean War , and was an ambulance driver when he was stateside. He loved to serve his country. Although I never got to meet him, I learned about him from my grandmother. Who told me he always called her his better half. His oldest daughter (my aunt) went on to serve in the US Air Force as well.

My brother now serves in the US Navy, and I'm proud of everything he's accomplished. I have other friends and family in the US Armed Forces as well and I appreciate everything they and all of the soldiers do for our country.

Happy Veterans Day, and thank you for all that you do.

My Thoughts on... Take Me Home For Christmas by Brenda Novak

Take Me Home For Christmas (Whiskey Creek)

Book Description
November 1, 2013

Christmas is a time for remembering…

Too bad not all memories are pleasant! Everyone in Whiskey Creek remembers Sophia DeBussi as the town's Mean Girl. Especially Ted Dixon, whose love she once scorned.

But Sophia has paid the price for her youthful transgressions. The man she did marry was rich and powerful but abusive. So when he goes missing, she secretly hopes he'll never come back—until she learns that he died running from an FBI probe of his investment firm. Not only has he left Sophia penniless, he's left her to face all the townspeople he cheated.…

Sophia is reduced to looking for any kind of work to pay the bills and support her daughter. With no other options, she becomes housekeeper for none other than Ted, now a successful suspense writer. He can't bring himself to turn his back on her, not at Christmas, but he refuses to get emotionally involved. He learned his lesson the last time.

Or will the season of love and forgiveness give them both another chance at happiness?

Take Me Home For Christmas was a well written and emotionally engaging story. To me this shows signs of a good book, when I get involved emotionally. The characters are well developed and intriguing.
This book is number 5 in  the Whiskey Creek series, but can be read as a stand alone. This was the first book I've read by Brenda Novak, and enjoyed it immensely.

Sophia & Ted's story is one that shows the growth of both characters mentally and emotionally. Sophia I fell in love with for 2 reasons. First she was the underdog in the story, and second because she had the most to overcome in the book. I recommend this book for lovers of romance and suspense. I look forward reading more books from Brenda Novak.

Soon Chris must choose whether to run away from his new feelings or embrace a relationship with the guy he loves. And Peter must decide if he can give his heart to a guy who hasn't yet figured it all out.

College Boys is the 1st book in the Men of Holsum series, and I must say it was an excellent start! It's a hot & steamy read that I wasn't able to put down until the last page was read. The characters are loveable and you find yourself empathizing with the struggles that Chris & Peter go through on the way to finding their happiness.
Another favorite in this story for me was Peter's BFF Nathaniel, he's a Diva to the max, and I loved him for it! I'm looking forward to reading more books in the Men of Holsum series.

My Thoughts on... Toxic by Belinda McBride

Toxic

(Truckee Wolves book 1)

Book Description
April 22, 2013
Genre:Vampires & Shapeshifters
Series: Truckee Wolves

There are three things that Dr. Briony Theale loves. Her job as a veterinarian, a good bar of rich, dark chocolate, and Rico, the ranger in charge of the Wildlife Rescue center. When a casual dinner with Rico turns surprisingly intimate, Briony realizes that she might just have a chance with him after all, if only she could lose a few pounds. It's the ultimate sacrifice, but Briony goes cold turkey, and swears off chocolate forever.

Rico Montgomery fell hard for Briony the first time he set eyes on the curvy little doctor. Her rich brown hair and cocoa skin trigger cravings he can barely control, and her fragrance is like the sweetest, richest chocolate he's ever scented in his life. That's a bad thing for Rico, because to a werewolf like him, chocolate is literally a toxin. After his pack warns him off the very human doctor, Rico finds himself even more drawn to Briony.

Rico can't live with it, and Briony can't live without it. And when a certain wandering wolf finds a bag of chocolate in the trash near Briony's clinic, these two will find out just how toxic love can be.

Note: This book has previously been released by another publisher but has been substantially revised and reedited in this edition.
Toxic is a steamy, fast paced paranormal romance that you won be able to put down once you've started. At least it was that way for me ;-) Toxic  was a quick read that I thoroughly enjoyed. I absolutely loved Rico and Briony. The way the two of them tried to deny their attraction to one another was funny and all the mishaps when they finally get together will have you laughing.
The characters in this story were amazing, one of my favorites is Briony's mother. She is kick-ass with a capital "K". You will not mess with her children, she is a one woman wrecking crew.
I look forward to reading more books from the Truckee Wolves series, Toxic  was an excellent start. I recommend this book to readers of paranormal and romantic suspense.

My Thoughts on... Cake by Lauren Dane

Cake

Book Description

September 17, 2013

From New York Times bestselling author Lauren Dane comes the latest release from Cosmo Red-Hot Reads from Harlequin.

She won't be satisfied with just one bite....

Art student-slash-bike messenger Wren Davis pursues what she wants. And what she wants now is Gregori Ivanov, rock star of the Seattle art scene. With his tattoos, piercings and sensual sneer, Gregori is the ultimate bad boy. Wren's gotten to know the man beneath the body art, too--and it only makes her crave him more.

But Gregori loves women like he loves cake and champagne--intensely, but only for the moment. And after Wren experiences just how scorching sex with Gregori is, she's determined to show him that just one taste won't be enough...

Let me start by saying that I'm a HUGE Lauren Dane and I absolutely love her books, and Cake isn't any different!

I adored Wren from the start, she's a very independent woman who goes after what she wants. She wants Gregori, and nothing will stop her from getting him ;-)

Gregori knows that he can't get enough of Wren but because of his crazy ex-wife, he's something of a  commitment-phobe. He enjoys being with Wren as a friend and doesn't want to mess it up by pursuing more. Wren has no problem showing Gregori that he can have his cake and eat it too!

The characters were well written as well as the story. I recommend this book for those looking for a quick read, or just looking for a delicious story to sink their teeth into.

Can the love and passion that still burn between Doriana and Logan overcome old lies and new dangers? The clock is ticking on a second chance at love.

Logan's Redemption is a romantic suspense novel that will: tug at your heartstrings, have you on the edge (or in my case: sitting up in bed), and keep you guessing as to the motive/identity of the villain!
Logan and Dori were separated by a night of anger then later by lies & misunderstandings.

Flash forward. 16 years later when Logan is hired to investigate Dori's family business, under the guise of being her assistant, they realize the feelings are still there. Under her father's orders Logan can't tell why he's really there, but hew not the only one keeping secrets. Dori has a 16 year old son and Logan has no idea he's a father ...

I thoroughly enjoyed Logan's Redemption! The characters were well written, and I looking forward to readings book to in the Redemption series Franco's Fortune! I recommend this book for lovers of romance & suspense.

My Thoughts on... Getting Rowdy by Lori Foster

Getting Rowdy

Book Description

Septemer 24, 2013

An alpha hero's attraction to the one woman he can't have could draw him into a killer's snare in the sizzling new novel from New York Times bestselling author Lori Foster

Charismatic bar owner Rowdy Yates isn't the kind of man women say no to. So when he approaches waitress Avery Mullins, he fully expects to get her number. However, the elusive beauty has her reasons for keeping her distance—including a past that might come back to haunt them both.

Avery spends her nights working for tips…and trying to forget the secret Rowdy is determined to unearth. But when history threatens to repeat itself, Avery grows to rely on Rowdy's protective presence. As the sparks between them ignite, she will be forced to choose between the security she's finally found…and the passion she's always wanted.

Getting Rowdy is the 3rd installment to the Love Undercover series, and one I have been wanting to read since I finished reading book one Run the Risk.

What is there not to love about Rowdy? He's a compassionate, loyal, protective musclebound 6 foot plus man of deliciousness! Add to that he's an Alpha Male to the extreme?! Poor Avery didn't stand a chance!

What I love about Avery is that she wasn't wilting flower.  She went toe to toe with Rowdy whenever it was necessary. She won me over though with her desire to protect Rowdy instead of using him to get out of her problems. As well as having enough sense to go to him & the others when danger showed itself closer than she was able to deal with. Avery is exactly what Rowdy needed, she gave her heart without expecting anything in return.

New characters are introduced, I absolutely loved Connor! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he'll have a book soon ;-)

All in all Getting Rowdy was a great romantic suspense that you won't be able to put down! This book is my favorite of the series so far! If you haven't read the previous 2 books (Run The Risk & Bare It All) in the Love Undercover series, you don't know what you're missing. I highly recommend reading this book (and the others), it's the best yet by Lori Foster! I'm looking forward to reading the next one.
