My Thoughts on... Dangerous Curves Ahead: A Perfect Fit Novel by Sugar Jamison

Dangerous Curves Ahead

Book Description

DANGEROUS CURVES AHEAD
Sugar Jamison

Ellis Garrett is dumping her critical boyfriend, opening a plus-size clothing store, and starting a blog—all to spread the word that fashion shouldn’t require a size-two body, and happiness should allow for the occasional cupcake. Or two. But is indulging fantasies about her sister’s long-ago ex, the still-hunky Michael Edwards, biting off more than she can chew?

Mike must be losing his detective’s touch. He doesn’t recognize Ellis when he bumps into her at Size Me Up, and he certainly doesn’t remember his ex-girlfriend’s outspoken sister being so irresistible. Her curves are indeed dangerous—and so is her wit. Could it be that Ellis is his Perfect Fit? One thing’s for sure: Mike will make it his sworn duty to find out…

Dangerous Curves Ahead  was a refreshing laugh out loud romantic comedy, that also had a touch of suspense. Both characters are at the point in their lives where they are making life changing decisions for their happiness. They discover that to be truly happy they have to take the risk to love each other.

I fell in love with Ellis from the 1st page of the book! Mike is the perfect fit for her, and was exactly what she needed in a partner. Mike also finds out that Ellis is what he needs, and has been looking for all along. All of the characters are absolutely entertaining, and I'm looking forward to reading more about them in the future.

This is a excellent start to the Perfect Fit series, Sugar Jaimson has a hit with this debut book, I can hardly wait to get the next one! I recommend this to those who love romance, suspense, comedy, and books with story lines that will keep you involved from page 1! I couldn't put my Kindle down until I was done, the book was that good!

My Thoughts on... Beneath the Surface by M.A. Stacie

Beneath the Surface

Description

Kyran Reese is a man in control. Driven when it comes to work, focused when it comes to play. From his office to the chalk circle of Metro’s bare-knuckle boxing ring, his only thought is to win. That thirst heightens when Dale Porter enters his life. His brother’s assistant should be off-limits, but her witty comments and sarcastic comebacks have him desperate to get her between the sheets. After receiving an unexpected left hook, Kyran gets exactly what he wants, though he makes the rules very clear.
When Dale agrees to Kyran’s relationship stipulation of no labels, she’s sucked into a whirlwind of lust, money, and underground boxing.  The agreement to keep their lust away from the office is discarded when rules are molded to suit their ever-increasing attraction. Dale fights her growing affection, trying to hide it even when the world around them spirals out of control. All too soon she realizes she can’t hide her true feelings any longer.

Kyran begins to wonder if he’s finally met his match, and with his family falling apart before his eyes, he turns to the two things he knows will keep him sane: boxing and Dale. Those crutches can’t last forever, and when Kyran finds it harder to function he is left with a decision he never thought he’d have to make.
Could playing to win mean playing for keeps?

Let me just say that I fell in love with Kyran from the very beginning of the story! What's not to love? An Alpha Male times 10, Bad Boy all day everyday, and to add to his awsomeness he's the CEO of his family's company. Beneath his suit Kyran has tattoos galore and to let off pressure of being in charge and covering for his brother, he's involved in bare-knuckled boxing. Its his cure-all to dealing with his problems, but that's until he meets Dale.

Dale is a woman who has a wounded heart that isn't going to let anyone run over/make a fool out of her again. She's moving forward in her life after being betrayed by her best friend and fiance. She has a job interview to be the assistant to Kyran's brother, but when he's not there she's sent to Kyran.

With one whiff of her vanilla scent, Kyran is unable to keep his mind off of Dale, or control his body's reaction to her nearness. Dale is affected by Kyran in a way she's never been with a man, but can't react on it since she'll be working for his brother.

A chance meeting at the club where Dale's brother is a bartender changes all of that! Because this is the same club where Kyran fights, and all bets are off once he sees her there. Both agree to an affair where Kyran is up front with Dale about how he's incapable of falling in love or giving it. Dale agrees, but as time with them in a relationship grows, Dale finds she's falling for Kyran hard. Since that goes against the agreement they made, she decides to break things off. Kyran finds that he can't let Dale go and will fight to get her back!

I recommend this story to fans of romance, drama, or those of us who are suckers for Alpha Males, you'll absolutely enjoy Beneath the Surface

My Thoughts on... Stern by Brenda Jackson

Stern (The Westmorelands #27)

Stern

Book Description

September 1, 2013

From New York Times bestselling author Brenda Jackson, comes a new trilogy starring three Westmorelands who are impossible to resist: Zane, Canyon and Stern

Stern Westmoreland never makes mistakes—until he helps his best friend Jovonnie "JoJo" Jones with a makeover…for another man. Now Stern wants JoJo for himself. Their attraction is undeniable and there's only one way to test it: one long, steamy night together as much more than friends!

Let me start my review by saying "Wow! I will never look at the game Simon Says the same way again!" Talk about HOT! That part alone is worthy of 4 stars. I give Stern 13 out 10 on my Steamy Scale, the love scenes will have you melting on the spot!

I absolutely adored Jojo & Stern's story. It shows Stren's revelation that Jojo is a woman that he wants for himself, and Jojo's courage for going after her heart's desire. It was a great addition to the Westmoreland line. I recommend this book to all of Brenda Jackson's fans, and any fans of romance it was a great read. I'm looking forward to the next Westmoreland store, and any other Brenda Jackson stories that may come.
